Consent for my child to take part in football and acceptance of risk

By registering my child to take part in football at West Sutton Little League (WSLL), I give my consent for my child to take part in cricket activities organised WSLL and I realise that:

-
WSLL is a registered UK charity run by the endeavours of its member in their spare time with limited training and support from the Football Association (FA), football's governing body, and as such, the levels of safety and safeguarding that can be provided will always be limited by the available human and financial resources. Players and parents must share responsibility for their own safety and safeguarding, for example by following club rules and supervising their children at all times while not training and playing in a match.
-

-
While WSLL aims to make football as safe as it reasonably can, football is not a risk-free activity, and while rare, injuries can and will sometimes occur. I do not hold the WSLL responsible for any claim arising out of an injury to my child, except to the extent and in the amount covered by any Personal Accident Insurance Policy arranged by Little League Football.

-
Training is conducted by volunteer team managers and we endeavour to always meet the FA’s guidelines regarding supervision ratios, Enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training. There may be times when we are working towards those guidelines, for example where managers leave and need to replaced, or where managers are unable to be at training due to sudden and unforeseen circumstances. The club will apply a 'common sense' approach to balancing the need to continue providing football activities while always striving to meet the standards set by the FA and conform to relevant best practice guidelines.

-
WSLL is based in Cheam Recreation ground which is an open public space. It is possible that there may sometimes be potential dangers around the ground and it is parents' responsibility to supervise their children when attending WSLL, including travelling to and from Cheam Recreation ground.

-
During the season, players may be promoted to a team in a higher League. Please note that such promotions MAY NOT be refused - it is a feature of West Sutton Little League that children of sufficient ability will gradually 'move up the ranks'. If instead they stayed in their old teams, the teams would become unbalanced, to the detriment of the League as a whole and the children in it. Parents are expected to support this process and provide the necessary encouragement to move up a league.

-
I agree to return upon all sportswear and other equipment issued to my child in as good a condition as when received except for normal wear and tear. I agree to pay WSLL the cost of replacing lost or damaged sportswear and equipment (excluding normal wear and tear).

-
I have no objection to photographs or videos (which may be displayed on our website) being taken by parents or officials of the League in accordance with the FA guidelines. I agree that any photographs or videos that include children other than my own will not be made publicly available on Social Media or any other public forum. WSLL operates in line with the FA’s Photograph and Filming policy. If there is a valid reason for excluding your child from being included in any photographs or filming please advise us by email to wsll.secretary@googlemail.com.

-
I also agree not to share the personal data of any other child or adult members of the club or opposition players without their consent.
