FAQ's

What are the age restrictions?

WSLL welcomes all children in school years 2 to 9

How does my child join WSLL?

Register on the homepage and you will receive an email explaining when to bring them down.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?

WSLL is a registered charity so there is no compulsory fee. However, we do ask for a £40 annual donation per family. This money is vital to the continuation of the league and be paid by cash or card at the desk.

How do I know if football has been called off due to weather?

We play in most weather conditions. If football is called off you will be contacted by the manager of your child’s team if they are in one. Alternatively we please check the website. These will both be updated after 8.30am on Saturday mornings.

What should I do if my child cannot attend football?

Inform their team manager as soon as possible.

Can I come and watch my child play?

Yes of course!  But please only stand on the designated side of the pitch behind the respect line.

What does my child need to play?

All children playing football must wear shin pads under long socks and boots. If in a team they will be provided with a top, shorts and socks. Please also ensure your child has a jacket for the cold and water to stay hydrated.  No jewellery may be worn.

Who do I contact if I have a concern?
