League Finances

WSLL is a non-profit making organisation and is a registered charity.

No charge is made for children playing football (except any subs to cover the cost of training facilities that team managers organise) and it costs approximately £18,000 per year to run the league. A significant part of our income comes from families voluntarily becoming members of the league for just £35 per year. Whilst this covers a large proportion of our costs we do need to raise additional funds to ensure the league can operate effectively. We have a number of personal and commercial sponsors to whom we are very grateful.

In addition, parents are requested to support the fundraising events that happen through the year. These events make a significant contribution to the financial well being of the League and without this income the League would struggle to survive financially.

Welcome to the Sponsors section of the WSLL website and thank you for taking the time to consider becoming involved with West Sutton Little League (WSLL). We hope that the information contained within these pages will provide you with a level of information that demonstrates that WSLL sponsorship is not only right from a professional perspective, but that you will also be providing support that will enable young players at the truest level of ‘Grass Roots’ football to give them a sense of professionalism, and a chance to emulate their footballing heroes by wearing similar kits and boots to them. Who knows, you may be providing the inspiration to the next John Terry.

Our Sponsors

WSLL relies on the continued support of sponsors. Without sponsors, the football offered by WSLL would not be freely available to the community. If you are resident of West Sutton, please browse our sponsors page and see if you can help and support the local businesses. We have a wide vareity of sponsors that include Plumbers, Electricians, Plasterers, Accountants, Hosting Companies, Car Service Centre’s and more.

What else are we doing?

We are busy trying to provide all our teams and players with better facilities and opportunities, but we feel that with your continued support it will allow us to be more successful when attempting to capture additional resources to achieve our objectives.

  • Working with Sutton United to provide our players with an opportunity to enhance their playing and coaching aspirations
  • Seeking funding from the Lottery Funding to provide better training facilities for all our teams (we have 54)
  • Liaising with McDonalds to participate in their scheme to provide access to the FA Coaching badge for all our coaches and managers
